We report studies of semileptonic decays, B → X{sub c}l[nu], based on a sample of 88 million B{bar B} events recorded with the BABAR detector. We have measured four moments of the electron energy distribution and four moments of the hadronic mass distribution, each as a function of the minimum electron energy. From these moments we determine the inclusive branching fraction, the CKM matrix element.

The branching fraction for B -> rho e nu decays and the CKM matrix element |Vub| is measured with semileptonic exclusive B-meson decays using approximately 55 million Upsilon(4S) -> BBbar decays collected during the years 2000 and 2001 with the BABAR detector. The result is Br(B0 -> rho- e+ nu) = (3.39 +- 0.44 +- 0.52 +- 0.60) x 10^-4, and |Vub| = (3.69 +- 0.23 +- 0.27 +0.40-0.59) x 10^-3. The quoted errors are statistical, systematic, and theoretical respectively. These are combined results obtained using five different form-factor models. Individual results are also quoted.

The CKM matrix element amplitude V[sub cb] was determined using the data collected by the BABAR detector. The partial branching fraction, lepton-energy moments, and hadron-mass moments were measured in inclusive semileptonic decays B [yields] X[sub c][ell][nu]. A global fit to a Heavy-Quark-Expansion calculation allowed precise determination of V[sub cb], m[sub b], m[sub c], [Beta](B [yields] X[sub c][ell][nu]) and four non-perturbative parameters.

The authors present a preliminary determination of the CKM matrix element V[sub ub] based on the analysis of semileptonic B decays from a sample of 88 million [Upsilon](4S) decays collected with the BaBar detector at the e[sup +]e[sup -] storage ring. Charmless semileptonic B decays are selected using the electron energy E-e and the invariant mass q[sup 2] of the electron-neutrino pair. The neutrino meomentum is inferred from a measurement of the visible energy and momentum in the detector and knowledge of the e[sup +]e[sup -] beam momenta. The partial branching fraction is determined in a region of the q[sup 2]-E-e plane where semileptonic B decays to charm are highly suppressed. The total charmless semileptonic branching fraction is extracted using a theoretical calculation based on the heavy quark expansion. Preliminary results yield V[sub ub] = (4.57 [+-] 0.21 [+-] 0.25 [+-] 0.34 + 0.59 - 0.29 [+-] 0.22) x 10[sup -3] where the uncertainties are from statistics (data and MC), detector modeling, background modeling, the shape function, and the heavy quark operator product expansion, respectively.
