Data-driven Methods for Fault Localization in Process Technology

Data-driven Methods for Fault Localization in Process Technology PDF Author: Kuehnert, Christian
Publisher: KIT Scientific Publishing
ISBN: 3731500981
Category : Mathematics
Languages : en
Pages : 228

Book Description
Control systems at production plants consist of a large number of process variables. When detecting abnormal behavior, these variables generate an alarm. Due to the interconnection of the plant's devices the fault can lead to an alarm flood. This again hides the original location of the causing device. In this work several data-driven approaches for root cause localization are proposed, compared and combined. All methods analyze disturbed process data for backtracking the propagation path.

Readers will benefit from the authors’ straightforward discussions of how to apply cost-effective techniques to a variety of specific environments common in the real world. They will also enjoy the in-depth explorations of recent research directions on this topic. Handbook of Software Fault Localization also includes: A thorough introduction to the concepts of software testing and debugging, their importance, typical challenges, and the consequences of poor efforts Comprehensive explorations of traditional fault localization techniques, including program logging, assertions, and breakpoints Practical discussions of slicing-based, program spectrum-based, and statistics-based techniques In-depth examinations of machine learning-, data mining-, and model-based techniques for software fault localization Perfect for researchers, professors, and students studying and working in the field, Handbook of Software Fault Localization: Foundations and Advances is also an indispensable resource for software engineers, managers, and software project decision makers responsible for schedule and budget control.

Video-to-Video Face Recognition for Low-Quality Surveillance Data

Video-to-Video Face Recognition for Low-Quality Surveillance Data PDF Author: Herrmann, Christian
Publisher: KIT Scientific Publishing
ISBN: 3731507994
Category : Electronic computers. Computer science
Languages : en
Pages : 180

Book Description
The availability of video data is an opportunity and a challenge for law enforcement agencies. Face recognition methods can play a key role in the automated search for persons in the data. This work targets efficient representations of low-quality face sequences to enable fast and accurate face search. Novel concepts for multi-scale analysis, dataset augmentation, CNN loss function, and sequence description lead to improvements over state-of-the-art methods on surveillance video footage.

Feature-Based Probabilistic Data Association for Video-Based Multi-Object Tracking

Feature-Based Probabilistic Data Association for Video-Based Multi-Object Tracking PDF Author: Grinberg, Michael
Publisher: KIT Scientific Publishing
ISBN: 3731507811
Category : Electronic computers. Computer science
Languages : en
Pages : 296

Book Description
This work proposes a feature-based probabilistic data association and tracking approach (FBPDATA) for multi-object tracking. FBPDATA is based on re-identification and tracking of individual video image points (feature points) and aims at solving the problems of partial, split (fragmented), bloated or missed detections, which are due to sensory or algorithmic restrictions, limited field of view of the sensors, as well as occlusion situations.

Probabilistic Parametric Curves for Sequence Modeling

Probabilistic Parametric Curves for Sequence Modeling PDF Author: Hug, Ronny
Publisher: KIT Scientific Publishing
ISBN: 3731511983
Category : Mathematics
Languages : en
Pages : 224

Book Description
This work proposes a probabilistic extension to Bézier curves as a basis for effectively modeling stochastic processes with a bounded index set. The proposed stochastic process model is based on Mixture Density Networks and Bézier curves with Gaussian random variables as control points. A key advantage of this model is given by the ability to generate multi-mode predictions in a single inference step, thus avoiding the need for Monte Carlo simulation.
