The Telangana State Biodiversity Board under the UNEP-GEF-MoEFCC-ABS Project title "Strengthening the implementation of Biological Diversity Act and Rules with focus on Access and Benefit Sharing" has prepared the Telangana State Biodiversity Field Guide comprising the flora and fauna of the Telangana State for identification of various species during the preparation of People's Biodiversity Registers for conservation and preservation of biodiversity. The term "biodiversity" or "biological diversity" describes the variety of living beings on Earth encompassing microorganisms, plants, animals, and ecosystems, such as coral reefs, forests, and deserts.
