The Screams of a Crystal Clear Butterfly

The Screams of a Crystal Clear Butterfly PDF Author: Patrycja Jadwiga Blazejewska
Publisher: Publishamerica Incorporated
ISBN: 9781413778991
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 64

Book Description
Screams of a Crystal Clear Butterfly is a collection of very personal poems where pain and love get entangled in one amazing journey in the heart and mind of a young woman. The poems are all written in a very rich and dramatic imagery language, and are greatly inspired by the experience and emotions of a woman trying to deal with her sorrows and longings in a world only few understand. The writer uses poetry like a powerful tool and weapon to express her past and empower herself for the future. Poetry, too, has been a refuge and an asylum, as well as an outlet for her emotions and experience living in a foreign country, often feeling a sense of nostalgia and longing for her home country. Growing up she often felt like an outsider looking in-perhaps another reason for expressing her inner thoughts and emotions. "I never really figured out how to write a diary so I started writing poetry instead," she states.

This poetry is for your self-enlightenment and inspiration. More importantly, it might help you find peace and happiness, and realize where your life is going now. It Was a Crystal Clear Night

It Was a Crystal Clear Night PDF Author: Thomas Montgomery
Publisher: CreateSpace
ISBN: 9781512160673
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 148

Book Description
It Was a Crystal Clear Night is the most recent work by the author and was God-driven almost from the first. It is clearly a devotional in its present form: reality-based Christian poetry hallmarked by several Christian commentaries to evoke thought and consideration on the part of the reader. Readers will find themselves associating with the poetic content as it touches on daily events; and will not be put off by the commentaries as the author did not delve into a serious theological approach as he sieved out the poems from a Christian perspective giving depth and greater meaning beyond that which the poems themselves hold forth for the reader to digest. In effect, the reader thus gains a two-fold prosperity by reading this work: poetic information and identity; and Christian elaboration full of thought-provoking material. The reader will come away from the work having had time to indulge in devotional reading, thoughtful self-conversation, prayerful insight into Christian lifestyle and expectations, and a quiet sense of uplifting through the work of the Holy Spirit charging their batteries. It is a unique kind of Christian material in the manner in which it is presented, and in the way it garnishes Christians values and truths in subtle ways without preaching; rather, it is almost invitational in its approach to God-speak. Friendly, warm, gentle, honest, and precise are other words that describe this work.

Library of Small Catastrophes

Library of Small Catastrophes PDF Author: Alison C. Rollins
Publisher: Copper Canyon Press
ISBN: 1619321998
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 93

Book Description
Library of Small Catastrophes, Alison Rollins’ ambitious debut collection, interrogates the body and nation as storehouses of countless tragedies. Drawing from Jorge Luis Borges’ fascination with the library, Rollins uses the concept of the archive to offer a lyric history of the ways in which we process loss. “Memory is about the future, not the past,” she writes, and rather than shying away from the anger, anxiety, and mourning of her narrators, Rollins’ poetry seeks to challenge the status quo, engaging in a diverse, boundary-defying dialogue with an ever-present reminder of the ways race, sexuality, spirituality, violence, and American culture collide.

CYGNUS

CYGNUS PDF Author: Crystal David John
Publisher: Notion Press
ISBN: 1645879739
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 82

Book Description
Cygnus, as the name suggests, is a constellation—but here a constellation of quotes, ideas, short poems and tiny tales, all related to real life and through the crystal clear lens of the writer. Most of the little snippets are from her observations of life and interactions with all kinds of individuals. They are real in the sense that they are experiential and not superficial. Some are cryptic, others beautifully clear. The variety is largely entertaining and sometimes satirical, yet extremely authentic and accurate to life in general. Like the ugly duckling that became the swan, in this case, Cygnus represents some of the good and not-so-good experiences of life that have gone into creating this beautiful collection of a swan-shaped constellation of ideas.
