La educación a distancia ha sido campo de innovación en muchos aspectos. Nos ha permitido observar innovaciones en técnicas instruccionales, sistemas de evaluación, materiales didácticos, actividades pedagógicas, tecnologías, medios de apoyo, etc. Ha permitido también desarrollar nuevas oportunidades en los mercados objetivo, ya que se ha enfocado desde comunidades alejadas, aulas en grandes ciudades, Universidades multicampus, entidades de gobierno, empresas, profesionistas independientes, etc. Ha pasado de ser una necesidad a ser una oportunidad. Una de estas nuevas oportunidades son los cursos virtuales. Los cursos virtuales son aquellos en donde el alumno no se ve limitado por tiempo y espacio para "asistir" a su aula de clases, la cual pasa de ser aquella física y tradicional con butacas, pizarrones y gises para transformarse en un aula virtual concebida y vista desde una página electrónica (Internet), en la que encuentra profesor, compañeros, material, actividades e incluso instalaciones. En este tipo de educación la tecnología juega un rol trascendente e imprescindible; sin embargo, el rol tecnológico, aunque imprescindible, va de la mano con el rol del diseño instruccional, que es el que define la estructura didáctica y pedagógica del curso. El presente estudio de tesis tuvo como objetivo crear un marco de referencia tecnológico sobre el cual el profesor interesado en este tipo de cursos, el asesor en tecnología educativa o profesores e instituciones que se inician en este tipo de educación, puedan construir sobre él para crear uno adecuado a sus necesidades específicas mismas que pueden variar en cuanto áreas de conocimiento, características organizacionales de su entidad académica y recursos tecnológicos. El Marco de Referencia que resultó de la investigación incluye cuatro grandes áreas que integradas forman el valor agregado que este genera. La primera parte se refiere a conceptos teóricos que incluyen información sobre los tópicos investigados, sobre las actividades que se pueden hacer en estos modelos, y sobre los puntos importantes que deben conocer el profesor y el equipo de trabajo. La segunda y tercera parte, responden al ¿Cómo? y tocan tanto actividades y procedimientos como prácticas instruccionales probadas. Estas actividades incluyen equipo de trabajo, actividades del profesor, actividades para desarrollar la plataforma tecnológica, etc., puntos que durante la investigación y experimentación se comprobó que eran importantes y necesarios de considerar al crear cursos de este tipo. La cuarta y última parte contempla las tecnologías que se pueden utilizar para la creación de este tipo de cursos. Considera al Internet como la "metatecnología" sobre la cual se desarrollan otra serie de tecnologías genéricas, no productos específicos. Concibe las tecnologías como formadoras de una serie de instalaciones necesarias que construyen el concepto integral de Universidad Virtual, dentro de la cual se desarrollan los cursos virtuales de educación a distancia.

How do children construct, negotiate and organize space? The study of social space in any human group is fraught with limitations, and to these we must add the further limits involved in the study of childhood. Here specialists from archaeology, history, literature, architecture, didactics, museology and anthropology build a body of theoretical and methodological approaches about how space is articulated and organized around children and how this disposition affects the creation and maintenance of social identities. Children are considered as the main actors in historic dynamics of social change, from prehistory to the present day. Notions on space, childhood and the construction of both the individual and the group identity of children are considered as a prelude to papers that focus on analyzing and identifying the spaces which contribute to the construction of children’s identity during their lives: the places they live, learn, socialize and play. A final section deals with these same aspects, but focuses on funerary contexts, in which children may lose their capacity to influence events, as it is adults who establish burial strategies and practices.
