Excerpt from Corpulence and Its Treatment on Physiological Principles In the following pages an attempt is made to regulate the alimentary relations of the corpulent on those principles, which modern physiology recognises as in accordance with the conditions of health in the case of the non-corpulent, and which form the basis of a rational dietetic system. The treatise aims more particularly at substituting for the so-called Banting remedy or cure by avoidance of fat something better and more in harmony with the natural conditions.
