Role Conflict and Coping Strategies of Married Muslim Women when Returning to School Or Work
Author: Nahid Farooq
Publisher:
ISBN: 9781303984501
Category : Marriage
Languages : en
Pages : 128
Book Description
Abstract: This study explored the relationship between the age of the participants and the number of years married in the level of role conflicts and coping strategies experienced among Muslim women when returning to school or work after one year of marriage. In the sample of 97 Muslim women, with the variables of age, ethnicity, religion, and country of birth no significant correlation was found in relation to role conflict and coping strategies. The results indicated that there is a negative correlation between the number of years married and the role conflict. The longer the participants were married, the lower the role conflict. To understand the relationship between role conflicts and coping strategies, additional studies are needed.
