L'essor récent de la Réalité Virtuelle et des simulations de plus en plus complexes qui lui sont associées a entraîné l'apparition de périphériques à retour d'efforts spécifiquement dédiés. Cependant ces périphériques sont pour leur très grande majorité fixes et ne permettent pas la mobilité de l'opérateur, il est donc intéressant d'examiner les moyens de rendre ces interfaces portables. Dans un premier temps nous avons réalisé une étude bibliographique et nous avons précisé le cadre de l'étude par l'analyse des applications visées et des capacités des opérateurs. Dans un second temps, à partir de l'analyse de l'état de l'art nous nous avons proposé des solutions utilisant des phénomènes gyroscopiques puis des solutions utilisant la poussée d'un fluide. Ensuite, devant les limites de ces premières solutions, nous nous sommes orientés vers l'étude d'une interface légère portée par l'utilisateur et utilisant une architecture parallèle actionnée par des câbles. Nous avons tout d'abord exposé la théorie relative à ces systèmes et développé de nouveaux outils d'analyse. Puis cette théorie a été utilisée pour la conception et la réalisation d'une interface à 3 ddls en translation (baptisée ICARE), basée sur une architecture utilisant 3 câbles et un vérin.
