A partir du modèle de Park de la machine synchrone, l'auteur établit directement et sans approximation les expressions des admittances opérationnelles. Il propose ensuite les simplifications nécessaires pour les factoriser. Il montre la supériorité des résultats obtenus par rapport à la théorie classique ou on procède par approximations successives. Des neuf admittances, trois sont ainsi corrigées ; celle propre à l'inducteur est fortement simplifiée. Quelques exemples montrent les avantages de cette nouvelle théorie simplifiée. L'emploi de la machine synchrone autopilotée dans les entraînements à vitesse variable conduit pour les équipements de forte puissance a utiliser deux enroulements statoriques couples en double étoile. L'auteur montre comment modéliser cette machine et en calculer les résistances et constantes de temps. Il permet ainsi de raccrocher la théorie de la machine double étoile à celle qu'il a établie pour la machine simple étoile. Il utilise son modèle pour l'étude du régime permanent et de divers régimes transitoires
