The oxidation rate of cobalt has been measured in the temperature range of 475 to 1325C, at various oxygen pressures. Results obtained show that the calculations for the activation energy should be broken into two distinct temperature intervals (475-750, 950-1325C). The authors distinguish a transition domain, between 750 and 950C, where the activation energy is abnormally high and varies. Results coincide well with those which have been already published when the latter are analyzed correctly. (Author).
