CONTRIBUTION A L'ETUDE DE LA RELAXATION MAGNETIQUE DANS LES NANOSTRUCTURES
Author: JEAN-ERIC.. WEGROWE
Publisher:
ISBN:

Languages : fr
Pages : 260
Book Description
UNE ETUDE EXPERIMENTALE DE LA DYNAMIQUE DE L'AIMANTATION A ETE REALISEE SUR UN ENSEMBLE D'ECHANTILLONS MAGNETIQUES NANOSTRUCTURES A BASSE TEMPERATURE. CETTE ETUDE MET EN EVIDENCE UN COMPORTEMENT THERMIQUE DE LA RELAXATION MAGNETIQUE LENTE, NON MESURE JUSQU'A PRESENT, ET CONTRAIRE AUX PREDICTIONS DES MODELES CLASSIQUES USUELS D'ACTIVATION THERMIQUE. UNE COMPARAISON ENTRE LES MESURES EFFECTUEES A L'ECHELLE D'UNE NANOPARTICULE ET SUR UN GRAND ENSEMBLE DE NANOPARTICULES PERMET D'EXPLICITER LE PASSAGE ENTRE UNE RELAXATION APPROXIMATIVEMENT EXPONENTIELLE A UNE RELAXATION LOGARITHMIQUE. ELLE PERMET DE MEME DE LOCALISER LE COMPORTEMENT THERMIQUE ANORMAL AUX FLUCTUATIONS A L'ECHELLE NANOSCOPIQUE. QUELQUES INTERPRETATIONS SONT PASSEES EN REVUE CONCERNANT LA NATURE POSSIBLE DES FLUCTUATIONS ANORMALES OBSERVEES. L'EFFET TUNNEL QUANTIQUE DE L'AIMANTATION EST MENTIONNE, AINSI QUE LA POSSIBILITE DE L'EMERGENCE D'UN BRUIT QUANTIQUE. PAR AILLEURS, UNE INTERPRETATION EN TERME DE REPONSE DU SYSTEME A LA VARIATION INITIALE DE CHAMP MAGNETIQUE EST PROPOSEE. CETTE APPROCHE PERMET DE FOCALISER L'ETUDE DES FLUCTUATIONS SUR D'EVENTUELS EFFETS INHABITUELS DUS A L'INTERACTION DU SYSTEME MAGNETIQUE AVEC SON ENVIRONNEMENT

NMR Basic Principles and Progress / NMR Grundlagen und Fortschritte

Book Description
Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, which has evolved only within the last 20 years, has become one of the very important tools in chemistry and physics. The literature on its theory and application has grown immensely and a comprehensive and adequate treatment of all branches by one author, or even by several, becomes increasingly difficult. This series is planned to present articles written by experts working in various fields of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and will contain review articles as well as progress reports and original work. Its main aim, however, is to fill a gap, existing in literature, by publishing articles written by specialists, which take the reader from the introductory stage to the latest development in the field. The editors are grateful to the authors for the time and effort spent in writing the articles, and for their invaluable cooperation. The Editors Contents c. W. Hilbers and C. MacLean NMR of Molecules Oriented in Electric Fields.

Matrix Theory of Photoelasticity
Author: Pericles S. Theocaris
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 3540357890
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 365
Book Description
Photoelasticity as an experimental method for analyzing stress fields in mechanics was developed in the early thirties by the pioneering works of Mesnager in France and Coker and Filon in England. Almost concurrently, Föppl, Mesmer, and Oppel in Germany contributed significantly to what turned out to be an amazing development. Indeed, in the fifties and sixties a tremendous number of scientific papers and monographs appeared, all over the world, dealing with various aspects of the method and its applications in experimental stress analysis. All of these contributions were based on the so-called Neumann-Maxwell stress-opticallaw; they were developed by means of the classical methods of vector analysis and analytic geometry, using the conventionallight-vector concept. This way of treating problems of mechanics by photoelasticity indicated many shortcomings and drawbacks of this classical method, especially when three-dimensional problems of elasticity had to be treated and when complicated load and geometry situations existed. Meanwhile, the idea of using the Poincare sphere for representing any polarization profile in photoelastic applications was introduced by Robert in France and Aben in the USSR, in order to deal with problems of polarization oflight passing through aseries of optical elements (retarders andjor rotators). Although the Poincare-sphere presentation of any polarization profile con stitutes a powerful and elegant method, it exhibits the difficulty of requiring manipulations in three-dimensional space, on the surface of the unit sphere. However, other graphical methods have been developed to bypass this difficulty.
