L’étude entreprise dans cette thèse vise à mettre en place un nouveau modèle de couplage film fluide – milieu poreux pouvant prendre en compte l’inertie du fluide dans le film lubrifiant et dans la matrice poreuse, le comportement non newtonien du fluide, les effets visqueux dans la matrice poreuse ainsi que sa poroélasticité. Elle concerne une modélisation et simulation numérique de la lubrification par effet d’écrasement entre deux géométries simples composées de deux disques dont l’un est à face poreuse. Nous examinons d’abord les effets visqueux à l’aide du modèle de Darcy-Brinkman sur les caractéristiques du contact lubrifié. Ce modèle permet la prise en compte de la couche limite développée à l’interface film fluide – matrice poreuse. Nous abordons ensuite les effets combinés d’inertie et visqueux du fluide considéré newtonien. L’écoulement est décrit alors à l’aide des équations de Naviers-Stokes Reduites dans le film fluide et modélisé par le modèle généralisé de Darcy-Brinkman-Forchheimer dans la matrice poreuse. Enfin, cette étude s’intéresse d’une part aux effets non newtoniens du fluide lubrifiant et d’autre part à l’influence de la déformation de la matrice poreuse. Les films lubrifiants sont considérés comme des fluides non newtoniens à couple de contraintes. La déformée de l’interface poreuse est obtenue à l’aide du modèle de couche mince élastique. Les équations aux dérivées partielles établies dans cette étude ont été discrétisées par la méthode des différences finies. Les équations algébriques obtenues ont été résolues à l’aide de la méthode de Gauss-Seidel relaxée. Les résultats numériques issus de nos simulations ont montré que ces effets ont une influence significative et non négligeable sur les performances de l’écrasement de films fluides

The book intends to give a state-of-the-art overview of flexoelectricity, a linear physical coupling between mechanical (orientational) deformations and electric polarization, which is specific to systems with orientational order, such as liquid crystals.
