Aún así, un 50% de las parejas lo tienen en la mente como la mejor manera de solucionar sus problemas. Por razones incomprensibles, todo el mundo ve ventajas en el divorcio, al menos si lo comparan con su desgraciada convivencia actual, y por ello las demandas son cada vez más frecuentes. Ahora la separación la piden más las mujeres y los hombres el divorcio consecuente los hombres, pero posiblemente se trata más del comienzo del enfrentamiento psicológico. No existe una causa razonable para explicar la lucha que una pareja ha mantenido durante meses o años antes de tomar la decisión de separarse definitivamente, pues durante esta incruenta hostilidad sacamos lo peor que hay en nosotros si con ello conseguimos hacer daño a nuestra pareja. Ese comportamiento que en ocasiones conlleva violencia física y clara tortura psicológica, solamente lo ejercemos contra nuestro cónyuge, esa persona que hace algún tiempo decíamos amar profundamente. Incluso personas que militan en grupos humanitarios, jueces, políticos y hasta religiosos devotos, cuando de hacer daño psicológico a su compañero/a se trata se comportan con una maestría exquisita. No hay palabra, gesto o comportamiento dañino que no se pruebe durante esa larga lucha anterior, si ello contribuye a observar una muestra de dolor en la pareja. Si llora, es que se ha tenido éxito y hay que repetir la jugada. Y si no ha habido daño esta vez da igual, se volverá a intentar con nuevos modos. Salvo pequeñas excepciones de parejas que decidieron divorciarse rápidamente, solamente después de la primera pelea, la mayoría han pasado previamente por un largo y doloroso vía crucis del cual son plenamente conscientes. Hay quien asegura que el divorcio debería ser efectivo con un deseo, una simple firma estampada en un documento, del mismo modo que se hace cuando las personas se casan. Si para tomar esta decisión nadie les consultó, ni fue necesario un complejo y largo proceso legal, ni mucho menos tuvo que intervenir abogados, no hay razón para que la disolución sea tan costosa y prolongada. Dicen que la causa está en los bienes gananciales, y en los hijos, pero todos sabemos que aún las parejas sin hijos, y los que tienen separación de bienes, acusan los mismos problemas. Mientras que las sociedades civiles se disuelven con un sencillo contrato de renuncia ante un abogado y cada socio se lleva la mitad o la parte que le corresponde de los bienes, aquí hay que pleitear durante meses. No obstante y a pesar de que los datos son pesimistas, este libro no pretende mostrar tan negativamente este problema creciente de la convivencia humana, y muy al contrario, la intención es ayudar a dos fines: a) Evitar que las parejas consideren que el divorcio es siempre la mejor solución, y b) Ayudarles a que busquen siempre el lado bueno y optimista de su maltrecha relación, pues siempre hay algo que salvar entre dos personas que un día se quisieron.Por todos los medios cásese.
