Public Utilities Plan: The purpose of the Public Utilities Plan is to take an inventory of all existing water, sanitary sewerage and storm water drainage systems in Waveland. The recommendations and plans prepared in the Urban Systems Engineering Demonstration Program have been incorporated in the Public Utilities Plan for Waveland. Land Use Plan: The Land Use for Waveland indicates principal functional components of land uses considering the existing land use pattern, the regional character, and the recently prepared transportation study for the Gulf Coast Area. Community Facilities: In order to provide Waveland with adequate schools, parks, recreational facilities, fire protection and public buildings, and the adequacy of these facilities is evaluated. This study further determines the additional facilities that will be needed over the twenty year planning period. Major Thoroughfares Plan: The purpose of the Major Thoroughfares Plan for Waveland is to insure an adequate thoroughfares system capable of providing efficient transportation of goods and people within and throughout the planning area. An inventory and analysis is made of the thoroughfares system in light of existing conditions and probable future traffic demands. A thoroughfares plan has been prepared which recommends the location and construction of streets and highways on a priority basis.
