Book Description
The data collected in this report was part of the Coastal Ocean DynamicsExperiment which ran from May 1979 to September 1980. All pressure gaugedata both on-shore and off-shore are in Volume 1 along with all data analysesfrom those time series that are over a year in length. The current data hasbeen divided into Volumes 2-5 with Volume 5 split into parts A and B. Eachvolume contains one deployment of moorings from each of three lines: EstevanPoint, Brooks Peninsula and Coastal Zones. All moorings are standard I.O.S.shelf moorings and the majority of instruments were Aandera RCM4s and theremainder were updated CMDR current meters and Geodyne 850 s. In all, therewere 41 current meters and 5 pressure gauges on the moorings, and a further 8pressure gauges or float gauges installed along the Vancouver Island coastfrom Sheringham Point in Juan de Fuca Strait to the Hunt Islets near WinterHarbour.
