This report explores children and young people's views on how and why they use digital technologies in their everyday lives, as well as their aspirations for the future. 490 children aged 10-18 years old from 26 developed and developing countries overseas took part. The findings are presented under the themes of barriers to online participation, socio-economic differences in access, aspirations, and concerns; education in preparing for the future, digital technology and social change, family dynamics, and health and wellbeing. The report shows that children and young people are thinking in nuanced and sophisticated ways about both the positive and negative potentialities of digital technology - for the world at large as well as themselves.
