Recent measurements in the charm sector at BABAR are reviewed. The scope of the presentation includes the observation of two new narrow mesons in the D{sub s}?° and D{sub s}+?°? final states as well as the measurement of D°-{bar D}° mixing parameters by means of two methods: using the doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed D° decay to K+?− and using the ratios of lifetimes extracted from samples of D° mesons decaying to K−?+, K−K+, and?−?+.

A search is performed for mixing and CP violation in D° decays from a 57 fb−1 dataset acquired by the Babar experiment near the Upsilon(4S). The time-dependence is measured of wrong-sign decays D° --> K?− and also the lifetime ratios?(D° --> K−?+)/?(D° --> K−K+) and?(D° --> K−?+)/?(D° -->?−?+). For the decays D° --> K{sub s}°K{sup {+-}}?− and D° --> K{sub s}°K+K−, preliminary measurements are presented of their branching fractions relative to that of D° --> K{sub s}°?+?−, together with an analysis of their Dalitz plot distributions.
