In celebrating the academic career and practice of a distinguished scholar of French literature, this volume concentrates on one of Peter Broome's major preoccupations and attainments: translation. This volume is of particular relevance to literary and filmic translators, to translation theorists and to anyone with an interest in translation as an art.
