Henry Macready, an honoured minister of our Church, who in his day rendered good service in various capacities. After being laid aside from active ministerial work, Mr. Macready conceived the idea of writing a History of the Church, and collected certain material for the work; but sickness and death intervened to frustrate the execution of that upon which he had set his heart. The reception of Christianity into Pacific cultures has produced strongly Christian societies.
