The book examines the development of provincial police services whose expansion coincided with the rise of mass automobile and controversies over prohibition and liquor control and their eventual absorption (outside of Ontario and Quebec) by the RCMP. Alexander, Psy.D., is Director of Public Safety and Deputy Chief Operating Officer, DeKalb County Office of Public Safety, responsible for leading the Police and Fire Departments in the second-largest county in the metro-Atlanta area.
