El monopolio neoliberal que caracterizaba la casi totalidad de las políticas económicas latinoamericanas desde la década de los noventa se está rompiendo. El presente libro quiere mostrar este cambio de paradigma agrario en las políticas gubernamentales de los países latinoamericanos que enfrentan el monopolio neoliberal. Las diversas aportaciones que lo conforman, preparadas por investigadores y activistas de reconocido prestigio, buscan describir tanto las posibilidades y fortalezas de este proceso, como sus debilidades y discordancias. Y mostrar cuál es el rol que están jugando los movimientos sociales campesinos e indígenas, agentes que se han ido consolidando y fortaleciendo en las últimas décadas hasta convertirse, hoy por hoy, en influyentes actores políticos. Jordi Gascón es doctor en antropología social y está especializado en economía y política agraria.
