Krueger, and Dorothy Kostuch profile 37 architecturally and historically significant houses of worship that represent 8 denominations and nearly 150 years of history. When the Congregational Church in Jackson, Michigan was outgrowing its church building in the 1850s, it hired Syracuse, New York architect Horatio Nelson White to draw up plans for a new building.
