Book Description
Right man...wrong color? LaShondra has done the work on herself first. She's gotten her education and, more importantly, developed a strong relationship with Christ. Now, she's ready for a man-but not just any man. She wants a Boaz, a godly man...who's gainfully employed...and it would hurt if he looked good, too. God answers with three out of three, but there's a twist: her perfect man, Stelson Brown, isn't African-American. While LaShondra's parents are happy about her professional success, they're chomping at the bit for her to get married. Her father (who wouldn't even let her bring her white friends home from school) and her mother (who's gets word about the white man through the church folk grapevine) will have more than a few words for her when they find out-if LaShondra ever gets around to telling her family and friends about Stelson. The racial climate at LaShondra's job isn't helping the situation. LaShondra suspects that the principal is buffering grades for certain students. Can she keep her integrity while keeping her job as vice principal? Boaz Brown is the first novel of bestselling novelist Michelle Stimpson. WAITING

WAITING PDF Author: Donna Saunders-Morgan
Publisher: Covenant Books, Inc.
ISBN:
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 48

Book Description
This book, Waiting: Your Prayer Is Heard, was birthed in me by God from Him bringing me through the waiting process to fulfilling His will for my life. Until your prayer concerning your desires are manifested and your faith becomes sight, it can be a difficult process to go through. I thank God for the delay to help me understand how He works. Waiting: Your Prayer Is Heard shows my waiting process, the Lord revealing to me Luke 1:13: "Fear not Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son and thou shalt call his name John." The Bible already declared that Elisabeth and Zacharias were stricken in years, which in my estimation was not praying for a child at that point, but during their early marriage and childbearing years. The Lord revealed to me their prayer went ahead of them, He delayed their answer, causing Elisabeth's barrenness until His appointed time, as John, their son, was selected to be the forerunner of Jesus Christ. It was a special birth due to the work John was chosen to do, he had to be born in the timeline of Jesus and was 6months older. This story and revelation were clear in my waiting period as I saw the hand of God in answering all my prayers in a specific way when God revealed my husband. I was able to see every unique conversation I had with the Lord through the years being packaged in him whom God sent, but I had to wait until God completed His work in him. We must know God hears our prayers despite the answer not coming immediately at times. We also must understand that God knows us best, and He is able to make the choice for us instead of us making it for ourselves. We can receive God's permissive will, but there is a joy that comes when we wait for the fulfillment of His divine will in our lives. Whatever you are praying for to be fulfilled in your life, as you wait, inquire of God what He wants you to do. This book highlights the processes you will encounter, ways to avoid distractions and the steps to take in maintaining your blessing when God has fulfills His promises to you.

ISBN: 1512705365
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 373

Book Description
Lessons from Ladies of Faith is a book that demonstrates that the ladies we read about in the Scripture were real women, living actual lives. God gave us a record of their challenges, struggles, and victories as lessons that we can apply to our lives today. From the ladies chronicled in this guide, we can learn lessons about courage, commitment, submission to God, dedication to new challenges, and so much more. As we study Eve, Sarah, Mary, Dorcas, and the other women, we will learn that the paths they walked are not so different from the ones we tread today. Through their stories, we can gain insight into the victories of faith that God desires for the modern day Christian woman. Some lessons teach us of His majesty, others of His grace, while others encourage us to explore new levels of spiritual adventure. Whether you are an earnest Christian believer or someone who is curious about the Christian life, there is much to learn about the journey of faith on this path of exploration. Lessons from Ladies of Faith chronicles thirteen different areas of a life of faith illustrated by the lives of different women in the Bible. By application to our present day lives, hopefully, we will come to understand our own life journey through those of these women.
