Book Description
Being blessed with a spiritual and prophetic gift is a gift from God, not from a Theologian School. I was born to parents who made an ominous choice to pimp me out in the name of God, verses rearing me according to the word of God. This caused me to question his existence along with my own. The Bishop and his she devil First Lady were my pimps and my abusers along with my parents and others. They used and manipulated scripture to validate their actions. They were known to pass the plate more than they fed the parishioners a good word. I met Marco at school and found that we had a lot in common. Our families also attended the same church. After we began spending time together, I thought that I loved him. I soon discovered that my love differed from Websters. Eventually, I declared liberty over my life. Remembering that I serve a God who gets down in the pain and struggle with me. I learned through my trials that God was in this fight I considered my life with me. Therefore, pain could not have the final say. Attorney Body and I became one another's anchors. She stayed the course and prayed me through. Although what she revealed about her and Marcos connection would have had me running toward the heal, she stayed the course until she became a choice. God placed me in this position. Although I felt overwhelmed, and consumed with negativity and doubt at times, I was the right person for this job. My calling was bigger than what I was able to see with my worldly vision. With all that was done to me by those who claimed to love me, God would not allow me to die. I had to learn not to let doubt drag me down into the darkness that was trying to blind me. Fear could no longer supersede my faith, nor could I confine God to any specific religion. There is a new devil on every level, and I am now armed and equipped, having no fear. This fight is not mine. With that being said, Father, this is your fight! I'll be over here standing on your word!!!

Book of Rhymes

Book of Rhymes PDF Author: Adam Bradley
Publisher: Civitas Books
ISBN: 0465094414
Category : Music
Languages : en
Pages : 274

Book Description
If asked to list the greatest innovators of modern American poetry, few of us would think to include Jay-Z or Eminem in their number. And yet hip hop is the source of some of the most exciting developments in verse today. The media uproar in response to its controversial lyrical content has obscured hip hop's revolution of poetic craft and experience: Only in rap music can the beat of a song render poetic meter audible, allowing an MC's wordplay to move a club-full of eager listeners. Examining rap history's most memorable lyricists and their inimitable techniques, literary scholar Adam Bradley argues that we must understand rap as poetry or miss the vanguard of poetry today. Book of Rhymes explores America's least understood poets, unpacking their surprisingly complex craft, and according rap poetry the respect it deserves.

Regime Change and Ethnic Politics in Indonesia

Regime Change and Ethnic Politics in Indonesia PDF Author: Taufiq Tanasaldy
Publisher: BRILL
ISBN: 9004253483
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 416

Book Description
When the Indonesian New Order regime fell in 1998, regional politics with strong ethnic content emerged across the country. In West Kalimantan the predominant feature was particularly that of the Dayaks. This surge, however, was not unprecedented. After centuries of occupying a subordinate place in the political and social hierarchy under the nominal rule of the Malay sultanates, Dayaks became involved in an enthusiastic political emancipation movement from 1945. The Dayaks secured the governorship as well as the majority of the regional executive head positions before they were shunned by the New Order regime. This book examines the development of Dayak politics in West Kalimantan from the colonial times until the first decade of the 21th century. It asks how and why Dayak politics has experienced drastic changes since 1945. It will look at the effect of regime change, the role of the individual leaders and organizations, the experience of marginalization, and conflicts on the course of Dayaks politics. It will also examine ethnic relations and recent political development up to 2010 in the province.
