Bible Prophecy Study Course - Lesson Set 6

Bible Prophecy Study Course - Lesson Set 6 PDF Author: Steven Messick
Publisher: CreateSpace
ISBN: 9781466466449

Languages : en
Pages : 58

Book Description
To the Student of Bible Prophecy, I have studied Bible Prophecy since 1984. I have read a lot of books on prophecy and found that most of them assume you know certain basics about prophecy, so they discuss end time events and usually don't tell you the background and other information you need to know to understand what they are telling you. They give you the meat of prophecy without the milk you need to digest the big stuff. This study course gives you the background and the facts you need to understand prophecy. In other words, it takes you from the milk to the meat of the word. PURPOSE: The intent is to teach the interested about the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth, to claim the victory He won on the cross, for you and me. The study does not intend to be denominational, rather it's intent is to enlighten and to bring all of the Body of Christ, His Church, together as one. SCOPE: The scope of the study is from the beginning to the end: from Genesis to Revelation. The student is taken through the study from scratch. The study concentrates strongly on prophecy that has already been fulfilled, showing the steps leading up to today and what the Bible says will soon occur. The outline shows there are 30 Lessons arranged into 11 Lesson Sets. Each Lesson Set has a pre-test, a test, answers, Extra Information Sheets, other aides to help understanding, along with a Subject Reference in the back. It is my fervent hope that the Holy Spirit will impress upon you the need to be aware of the Lord's imminent return (Luke 21:36) and God's blessings for studying prophecy (Revelation 1:3)

Truly Free

Truly Free PDF Author: Robert Morris
Publisher: Thomas Nelson
ISBN: 0718001230
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 250

Book Description
In Truly Free best-selling author Robert Morris invites us into a glorious truth—that the promise of being set free from the slavery of sin is a promise to be set free completely. Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18). As believers, we have Christ and never need to be afraid. Yet it’s also true that we are not immune to the effects of evil. Christ has conquered sin and death, but in his infinite wisdom—for reasons that are often difficult for us to understand—evil is still permitted to exist. Even if we’re saved and trust in Christ, we may still find areas in which we just can’t get victory. Maybe it’s a sin we’ve confessed again and again or a constant struggle with depression, anger, or lust. These long-imbedded patterns of shameful living continue to entangle us day after day, month after month, and even year after year. Although evil is real and Christians can be oppressed by it, we have the promise that the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Jesus saves us, trains us to resist the power of evil, and delivers us from anything that holds us back. With Jesus, we can be truly free forever.

Jonah, Micah, and Nahum

Jonah, Micah, and Nahum PDF Author: Kristofer Holroyd
Publisher: Crossway
ISBN: 1433558130
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 137

Book Description
The Knowing the Bible series is a resource designed to help Bible readers better understand and apply God’s Word. These 12-week studies lead participants through books of the Bible and are made up of four basic components: (1) reflection questions help readers engage the text at a deeper level; (2) “Gospel Glimpses” highlight the gospel of grace throughout the book; (3) “Whole-Bible Connections” show how any given passage connects to the Bible’s overarching story of redemption, culminating in Christ; and (4) “Theological Soundings” identify how historic orthodox doctrines are taught or reinforced throughout Scripture. With contributions from an array of influential pastors and church leaders, these gospel-centered studies will help Christians see and cherish the message of God’s grace on every page of the Bible. The books of Jonah, Micah, and Nahum announce the judgment of God through his prophets—flawed messengers who nevertheless served as vehicles for God’s compassion, calling their hearers to repent of their evil, turn from their false gods, and worship the one true God. Over the course of 12 weeks, this study helps readers see the steadfast love, mercy, and patience of the Lord, the deliverer and protector who offers forgiveness to all who turn from their sin and trust in him. Part of the Knowing the Bible series.
