Book Description
WEB OF SPINDLED TIME A Poetic Point of View A...spiritual journey unspooled in free verse, short prose and original artwork...the image of spindled time perfectly captures the experience of encountering Hendersons cosmic tome...This rhythmic alternation of inward and outward focus is one of Hendersons persistent themes, introduced in the prologueLooking outward, at my world, / I observed the constant changes around me, / Peering inward, I analyzed / My own shifting feelingsand revisited frequently, most memorably in several examples of concrete poetry...Elsewhere, various narrators on numerous paths and journeys invariably learn how much they do not yet know. In Blakean fashion, Henderson strives to deconstruct the tension of man simultaneously seeing himself as the image of perfection and as a mere, and mortal, fool. Wisdom, he suggests, lies in unifying both visions, often via paradox. In The Flight of the Spirit, for instance, the narrator laments, I have searched for an escape. / But, death comes to all. / Escape then, is inevitable. / Life is short. After further contemplation, however, he instead concludes that chains are loosened by death. / The soul drifts into the freedom / Of eternity, / Forever has no end / If death is short / And life is everlasting. For all its lofty philosophical inquiries, Hendersons poetry is generally unadorned, marked by plain speech and the occasional simple rhyme scheme. Because the mystic nature of these revelations is likely to confound reason, the mind can be slow to believe...so reading in small doses may be the best approach. Readers who see spiritual perfection as a journey, rather than a destination, will appreciate Henderson as a fellow traveler.

In Jumping Out of Satans Lie Pot and Landing in Gods Truth, author Emma Warren uses her thirty-five-year, roller-coaster battle with depression to show you how to crawl out of the pit and land in Gods grace. Based on the principles of the Word of God, Jumping Out of Satans Lie Pot and Landing in Gods Truth unpacks the nine lies Satan perpetrated on Emma during her struggles with depression, such as depression is a physical illness, and it must be treated by doctors and pills; dying is the only way out; and God doesnt love you. She discusses the temporary solutions she used to deal with her depression, details how God brought her out of the pit, and tells how she landed in Gods truth. Emmas testimony describes how Satan robbed her of joy, peace, contentment, and love, and how Gods truth set her free one lie at a time. Jumping Out of Satans Lie Pot and Landing in Gods Truth communicates how God has blessed her tenfold and more.

Book Description
During my many searches for knowledge and information, I have not discovered anything anywhere to contradict my findings in respect to the fact that ignorance, and all of its sources, are the main culprits for the propagation of ignorance, without which, the world would be a far better place. Imagine having at your disposal, the ability to correct many of the wrongs within society. This actually is the case if you are capable of recognising such facts. And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" (Matthew 7:21-23, NKJV)

Under the Gaze of God

Under the Gaze of God PDF Author: G David Williams CP
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 1664113649
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 340

Book Description
The way I understand the gaze of God to have a defining influence on spiritual growth and development has, as its overarching image, the way a mother gazes at her infant at the breast: It is a gaze that is tender; all-absorbing; exclusive; filled with wonder and love; tranquil; and protective. Just as the mother’s gaze engages the infant in a dialogue without words and provokes a response, so too the gaze of God evokes a response from the human heart. Just as the mutual gaze of mother and infant sets up a relationship which becomes the basis of communication, so too the mutual gaze of God and the soul become the basis for prayer. The main insight of the book is that the movement into union with God is circular rather than linear; that it is not exclusively a movement into something new, something that has not previously occurred, but is also, and more importantly, a movement towards recapturing something which has already existed, namely, that relationship we enjoyed, albeit pre-consciously, at our mother’s breast when God looked upon us and saw that we were very good.
