How God Can Peel an Onion
Author: Penelope Bourdillon

Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 113
Book Description
Do you have a vision? As we are reaching the end of the millennium, there is undoubtedly a search for something that is missing in peoples lives. There are strange things going on in the world that point to a new awakening; personally, I feel that this is a spiritual awakening. When Diana, Princess of Wales, was killed, we saw a hitherto unknown wave of public behavior. This was called mass hysteria, and so it became because the press whipped it up. I am convinced this was because most people were searching for somethingbut they knew not what they want. Surely, what many people are thirsting for is spiritual fulfillment. For those who have not yet found it, I urge you to read this little book, with an open heart.

Attending Daedalus
Author: Peter Wright
Publisher: Liverpool University Press
ISBN: 9780853238287
Category : Literary Criticism
Languages : en
Pages : 260
Book Description
This new study of the fiction of Gene Wolfe, one of the most influential contemporary American science fiction writers, offers a major reinterpretation of Gene Wolfe’s four-volume The Book of the New Sun and its sequel The Urth of the New Sun. After exposing the concealed story at the heart of Wolfe’s magnum opus, Wright adopts a variety of approaches to establish that Wolfe is the designer of an intricate textual labyrinth intended to extend his thematic preoccupations with subjectivity, the unreliability of memory, the manipulation of individuals by social and political systems, and the psychological potency of myth, faith and symbolism into the reading experience.
