Book Description
In this paper we present results on B production obtained from data taken with the CDF detector at Fermilab, in p{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1.8 TeV. b-quark production cross sections using exclusive and inclusive B decay modes are presented and compared with theoretical predictions. We cover recently completed analyses of the 1988--1989 data and describe the first preliminary results of the studies of the 1992--1993 collider run. Prospects for the near future are also discussed.

Pages : 1132
Book Description
DIS 2005 is the 13th in a series of annual workshops on Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) and Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). The aim of these workshops is to review the progress in the field of DIS and QCD and to discuss and lay the groundwork for the future. DIS 2005 brought together 280 experimentalists and theorists to discuss the latest theoretical developments and new experimental results from HERA, TeVatron, SLAC, CERN, RHIC and Jefferson Lab.

Soft Multihadron Dynamics
Author: E Wolfram Kittel
Publisher: World Scientific
ISBN: 9814480541
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 670
Book Description
This book gives a comprehensive account of the development and present status of the field of soft (i.e. non-perturbative) phenomena encountered in the production of (multi-) hadronic final states by the collision of various types of particles at high energies. Phenomenological models used to describe the data are in general inspired by Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD) and the book repeatedly crosses the border — if at all existent — between soft (non-perturbative) and hard (perturbative) QCD.
