À la suite de la publication de la monographie du vaccin ArepanrixMC H1N1 (GlaxoSmithKline, 2009a) et de données préliminaires d'immunogénicité chez les enfants (GlaxoSmithKline, 2009b), le Comité sur l'immunisation du Québec (CIQ) a tenu une conférence téléphonique spéciale le 24 octobre 2009, afin d'évaluer si les avis antérieurs du CIQ quant à l'utilisation de vaccin avec ou sans adjuvant chez la femme enceinte devaient être révisés. Nous savons maintenant que le vaccin contenant l'adjuvant AS03 est homologué et immédiatement disponible, alors que le vaccin sans adjuvant ne sera pas livré avant plusieurs semaines. Par ailleurs, la seconde vague de la pandémie a déjà débuté.
