Les liens entre activité, physique et santé sont au cœur du débat sur la prévention en santé publique. Cet ouvrage offre une approche pluridisciplinaire de la notion d'activité physique qui s'inscrit dans une perspective de prévention et de promotion de la santé. Une première partie réalise une synthèse de l'apport des diverses disciplines de sciences humaines et sociales à ce concept : recherches historiques, perspectives anthropologiques et psycho-corporelles, approches psychologique, économique et politique des relations entre activité physique et santé. Kochan shows convincingly that these apparently quite different approaches to science are, in fact, largely compatible, even mutually reinforcing. By combining Heidegger with SSK, Kochan argues, we can explicate, elaborate, and empirically ground Heidegger’s philosophy of science in a way that makes it more accessible and useful for social scientists and historians of science.
