The next year a course of five weeks for women was Opened. Finally this practical arts department was in' session forty-eight weeks, thus eu abling the men to complete the regular three-year course in two school years, in addition to three summer terms. To meet the increasing demand for summer work, the session at North Adams was Opened in 1922. At Hyannis and North Adams special summer schools of physical education were conducted under the leadership of the State supervisors of physical education.
