Robot Analysis

Robot Analysis PDF Author: Lung-Wen Tsai
Publisher: John Wiley & Sons
ISBN: 9780471325932
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 526

Book Description
Complete, state-of-the-art coverage of robot analysis This unique book provides the fundamental knowledge needed for understanding the mechanics of both serial and parallel manipulators. Presenting fresh and authoritative material on parallel manipulators that is not available in any other resource, it offers an in-depth treatment of position analysis, Jacobian analysis, statics and stiffness analysis, and dynamical analysis of both types of manipulators, including a discussion of industrial and research applications. It also features: * The homotopy continuation method and dialytic elimination method for solving polynomial systems that apply to robot kinematics * Numerous worked examples and problems to reinforce learning * An extensive bibliography offering many resources for more advanced study Drawing on Dr. Lung-Wen Tsai's vast experience in the field as well as recent research publications, Robot Analysis is a first-rate text for upper-level undergraduate and graduate students in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer studies, as well as an excellent desktop reference for robotics researchers working in industry or in government.

Fundamentals of Mechanics of Robotic Manipulation

Fundamentals of Mechanics of Robotic Manipulation PDF Author: Marco Ceccarelli
Publisher: Springer Nature
ISBN: 3030908488
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 398

Book Description
The book explores the fundamental issues of robot mechanics for both the analysis and design of manipulations, manipulators and grippers, taking into account a central role of mechanics and mechanical structures in the development and use of robotic systems with mechatronic design. It examines manipulations that can be performed by robotic manipulators. The contents of the book are kept at a fairly practical level with the aim to teach how to model, simulate, and operate robotic mechanical systems. The chapters have been written and organized in a way that they can be red even separately, so that they can be used separately for different courses and purposes. The introduction illustrates motivations and historical developments of robotic mechanical systems. Chapter 2 describes the analysis and design of manipulations by automatic machinery and robots; chapter 3 deals with the mechanics of serial-chain manipulators with the aim to propose algorithms for analysis, simulation, and design purposes; chapter 4 introduces the mechanics of parallel manipulators; chapter 5 addresses the attention to mechanical grippers and related mechanics of grasping.

Advanced Theory of Constraint and Motion Analysis for Robot Mechanisms

Advanced Theory of Constraint and Motion Analysis for Robot Mechanisms PDF Author: Jingshan Zhao
Publisher: Academic Press
ISBN: 9780128101773
Category : Computers
Languages : en
Pages : 0

Book Description
Advanced Theory of Constraint and Motion Analysis for Robot Mechanisms provides a complete analytical approach to the invention of new robot mechanisms and the analysis of existing designs based on a unified mathematical description of the kinematic and geometric constraints of mechanisms. Beginning with a high level introduction to mechanisms and components, the book moves on to present a new analytical theory of terminal constraints for use in the development of new spatial mechanisms and structures. It clearly describes the application of screw theory to kinematic problems and provides tools that students, engineers and researchers can use for investigation of critical factors such as workspace, dexterity and singularity.

Mechanism Design for Robotics

Mechanism Design for Robotics PDF Author: Marco Ceccarelli

Book Description
MEDER 2018, the IFToMM International Symposium on Mechanism Design for Robotics, was the fourth event in a series that was started in 2010 as a specific conference activity on mechanisms for robots. The aim of the MEDER Symposium is to bring researchers, industry professionals, and students together from a broad range of disciplines dealing with mechanisms for robots, in an intimate, collegial, and stimulating environment. In the 2018 MEDER event, we received significant attention regarding this initiative, as can be seen by the fact that the Proceedings contain contributions by authors from all around the world. The Proceedings of the MEDER 2018 Symposium have been published within the Springer book series on MMS, and the book contains 52 papers that have been selected after review for oral presentation. These papers cover several aspects of the wide field of robotics dealing with mechanism aspects in theory, design, numerical evaluations, and applications. This Special Issue of Robotics (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/robotics/special_issues/MDR) has been obtained as a result of a second review process and selection, but all the papers that have been accepted for MEDER 2018 are of very good quality with interesting contents that are suitable for journal publication, and the selection process has been difficult.
