La présente étude porte sur le cas de la société burkinabè de génie civil dénommée COGEB International. Elle exerce en Afrique de l’Ouest francophone et possède de nombreux sites distants qui intègrent chacun une organisation informatique (pouvant aller d’une simple borne Wifi à un réseau local sous administration serveur). Toutefois, aucun de ces sites n’est interconnecté à un autre. Face à ce constat et mue par sa volonté de s’adapter aux nouvelles exigences de son secteur d’activités (hautement concurrentiel), l’entreprise a décidé de refonder son infrastructure informatique de sorte à bénéficier d’un réseau performant, agile, sécurisé, fiable et implémenté à moindre coût. Ce mémoire s’attache à retracer la méthodologie qui a été utilisée pour analyser, concevoir et implémenter une infrastructure de réseau basée sur le cloud par l’entreprise COGEB International. L’analyse a porté sur un état des lieux du réseau informatique de la société. La conception a consisté à déterminer et à approfondir les contours de la solution la plus appropriée parmi trois propositions. L’implémentation a quant à elle concerné la mise en place effective de la nouvelle infrastructure réseau basée sur la technologie Software-Defined Wide-Area Networking de Cisco® Meraki®.

Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences was first conceived, published, and dis· seminated by the Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis (CINDAS) *at Purdue University in 1957, starting its coverage of theses with the academic year 1955. Beginning with Volume 13, the printing and dissemination phases of the ac· tivity were transferred to University Microfilms/Xerox of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the thought that such an arrangement would be more beneficial to the academic and general scientific and technical community. After five years of this joint undertaking we had concluded that it was in the interest of all concerned if the printing and distribution of the volume were handled by an international publishing house to assure improved service and broader dissemination. Hence, starting with Volume 18, Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences has been disseminated on a worldwide basis by Plenum Publishing Corporation of New York, and in the same year the coverage was broadened to include Canadian universities. All back issues can also be ordered from Plenum. We have reported in Volume 20 (thesis year 1975) a total of 10,374 theses titles from 28 Canadian and 239 United States universities. We are sure that this broader base for theses titles reported will greatly enhance the value of this important annual reference work. The organization of Volume 20 is identical to that of past years. It consists of theses titles arranged by discipline and by university within each discipline.

The twelfth-century French poet Chrétien de Troyes is a major figure in European literature. His courtly romances fathered the Arthurian tradition and influenced countless other poets in England as well as on the continent. Yet because of the difficulty of capturing his swift-moving style in translation, English-speaking audiences are largely unfamiliar with the pleasures of reading his poems. Balancing the Commons in Switzerland outlines continuity and change in the management of common-pool resources such as pastures and forests in Switzerland. The book focuses on the differences and similarities between local institutions (rules and regulations) and forms of commoners’ organisations (corporations of citizens and corporations) which have managed common property for several centuries and have shaped the cultural landscapes of Switzerland. At the core of the book are five case studies from the German, French and Italian speaking regions of Switzerland. Beginning in the Late Middle Ages and focusing on the transformative periods in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, it traces the internal and external political, economic and societal changes and examines what impact these changes had on commoners. It goes beyond the work of Robert Netting and Elinor Ostrom, who discussed Swiss commons as a unique case of robustness, by analysing how local commoners reacted to, but also shaped, changes by adapting and transforming common property institutions. Thus, the volume highlights how institutional changes in the management of the commons at the local level are embedded in the public policies of the respective cantons, and the state, which generates a high heterogeneity and an actual laboratory situation. It shows the power relations and very different routes that local collective organisations and their members have followed in order to cope with the loss of value of the commons and the increased workload for maintaining common property management.
