The ICTM’2019 conference was held in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on November 28–30, 2019. During the event, technical exchanges between the research communities took place in the form of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and special sessions. In addition, participants had the opportunity to forge new collaborations with their fellow researchers. ICTM’2019 received 172 submissions from various countries. This book features selected papers offering insights into the following topics: Information technology in the design and manufacture of engines; Information technology in the creation of rocket space systems; Aerospace engineering; Transport systems and logistics; Big data and data science; Nano-modeling; Artificial intelligence and smart systems; Networks and communication; Cyber-physical system and IoE; Software Engineering and IT-infrastructure. The organizers of ICTM 2019 made great efforts to ensure the success of this conference. The authors would like to thank all the members of the ICTM’2019 Advisory Committee for their guidance and advice, the members of Program Committee and Organizing Committee, the referees for their time and effort in reviewing and soliciting the papers, and the authors for their contributions to the formation of a common intellectual environment for solving relevant scientific problems. Also, the authors are grateful to Springer, especially Janusz Kacprzyk and Thomas Ditzinger as the editors responsible for the series “Advances in Intelligent System and Computing” for their valuable support in publishing these selected papers.

Book Description
This book of Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems contains accepted papers presented at the 15th International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Security for Information Systems (CISIS 2022) and the 13th International Conference on EUropean Transnational Education (ICEUTE 2022). These conferences were held in the beautiful city of Salamanca, Spain, in September 2022. The aim of the CISIS 2022 conference is to offer a meeting opportunity for academic and industry-related researchers belonging to the various, vast communities of computational intelligence, information security, and data mining. The need for intelligent, flexible behaviour by large, complex systems, especially in mission-critical domains, is intended to be the catalyst and the aggregation stimulus for the overall event. After a thorough peer review process, the CISIS 2022 International Program Committee selected 20 papers, which are published in this conference proceedings. In this edition, three special sessions were organized: Cybersecurity in Future Connected Societies, Cybersecurity and Trusted Supply Chains of ICT, and Intelligent Solutions for Cybersecurity Systems. The aim of ICEUTE 2022 is to offer a meeting point for people working on transnational education within Europe. It provides a stimulating and fruitful forum for presenting and discussing the latest works and advances on transnational education within European countries. In the case of ICEUTE 2022, the International Program Committee selected 5 papers, which are also published in this conference proceedings. The selection of papers was extremely rigorous to maintain the high quality of the conferences. We want to thank the members of the Program Committees for their hard work during the reviewing process. This is a crucial process for creating a high-standard conference; the CISIS and ICEUTE would not exist without their help.

Digital Control Engineering

Digital Control Engineering PDF Author: M. Sami Fadali
Publisher: Academic Press
ISBN: 0123943914
Category : Computers
Languages : en
Pages : 602

Book Description
Digital controllers are part of nearly all modern personal, industrial, and transportation systems. Every senior or graduate student of electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering should therefore be familiar with the basic theory of digital controllers. This new text covers the fundamental principles and applications of digital control engineering, with emphasis on engineering design. Fadali and Visioli cover analysis and design of digitally controlled systems and describe applications of digital controls in a wide range of fields. With worked examples and Matlab applications in every chapter and many end-of-chapter assignments, this text provides both theory and practice for those coming to digital control engineering for the first time, whether as a student or practicing engineer. Extensive Use of computational tools: Matlab sections at end of each chapter show how to implement concepts from the chapter Frees the student from the drudgery of mundane calculations and allows him to consider more subtle aspects of control system analysis and design An engineering approach to digital controls: emphasis throughout the book is on design of control systems. Mathematics is used to help explain concepts, but throughout the text discussion is tied to design and implementation. For example coverage of analog controls in chapter 5 is not simply a review, but is used to show how analog control systems map to digital control systems Review of Background Material: contains review material to aid understanding of digital control analysis and design. Examples include discussion of discrete-time systems in time domain and frequency domain (reviewed from linear systems course) and root locus design in s-domain and z-domain (reviewed from feedback control course) Inclusion of Advanced Topics In addition to the basic topics required for a one semester senior/graduate class, the text includes some advanced material to make it suitable for an introductory graduate level class or for two quarters at the senior/graduate level. Examples of optional topics are state-space methods, which may receive brief coverage in a one semester course, and nonlinear discrete-time systems Minimal Mathematics Prerequisites The mathematics background required for understanding most of the book is based on what can be reasonably expected from the average electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering senior. This background includes three semesters of calculus, differential equations and basic linear algebra. Some texts on digital control require more
