Book Description
Book review by Beverly Seaton Ingersoll Author: 4 Months of God's Mercy "No Arm Around My Shoulder" is a story of life long ago when survival was an everyday occurrence. A small child's only desire to be wanted and loved by his family, but in return must endure hostility and scorn for the first 18 years of his life. This story cannot help but touch the soul of everyone who reads it. I was heart-stricken by the pain and adversity this author endured as a child, but also inspired, because I know he is a warm, caring, honorable man today. The history Fred describes in Southern Idaho as he and his family moved from place to place just to put food on the table reminded me of times when life was much harder than today. I felt as though I was right there with him. The author is an inspiration to all of how strong a person's character is and that they can successfully overcome extremely difficult obstacles.

As distance and Toni’s shifting gender identity begin to wear on their relationship, the couple must decide—have they grown apart for good, or is love enough to keep them together?

Baby Doe Tabor

Category : Biography & Autobiography
Languages : en
Pages : 282

Book Description
The story of Baby Doe Tabor has seduced America for more than a century. Long before her body was found frozen in a Leadville shack near the Matchless Mine, Elizabeth McCourt “Baby Doe” Tabor was the stuff of legend. The stunning divorcée married Colorado’s wealthiest mining magnate and became the “Silver Queen of the West.” Blessed with two daughters, Horace and Baby Doe mesmerized the world with their wealth and extravagance. But Baby Doe’s life was also a morality play. Almost overnight, the Tabors’ wealth disappeared when depression struck in 1893. Horace died six years later. According to the legend, one daughter left home never to return; the other died horribly. For thirty-five years, Baby Doe, who was considered mad, lived in solitude high in the Colorado Rockies. Baby Doe Tabor left a record of her madness in a set of writings she called her “Dreams and Visions.” These were discovered after her death but never studied in detail—until now. Author Judy Nolte Temple retells Lizzie’s story with greater accuracy than any previous biographer and reveals a story more heartbreaking than the legend, giving voice to the woman behind the myth.

Book Description
"You were magnificent, babe," she said, kissing him soundly on the lips. He squeezed her waist, pulling her closer to his big body. His cheeks turned red at her praise and I knew then that she had been right about him. He really was a modest, sweet guy. And he obviously loved her. "Thanks, love," he murmured before kissing her back. The dark-haired man cleared his throat. Mickey grinned at him. Amber put her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. "You were fantastic too, Cas. As usual." He slid his arms around her waist, lifting her off the ground. His eyes met mine over her shoulder and I stared back at him, wishing it were me that he was holding like that. I looked away from them and he let her go, stepping back. Amber turned back...

We’ve always been able to compartmentalize them and move on. Not our little brother. They all weighed on Jason. I was bred to take over my family’s mafia. Being the first born, it was something I knew was going to happen, but I didn’t expect it would as soon as it did. One fateful day that none of us will ever be able to forget or forgive. A day that changed all of our lives forever. The day that made Jason and Nick run from mafia life. A day all of my dreams came to a screeching halt. I’ve been thrust into a world both familiar and impossibly unfamiliar. I’m not just doing what my father says anymore. I’m not running missions. I’m leading them. I’m the boss. I’m the leader of one of the most powerful mafias in the entire world. And I’m not anywhere near ready. ~ This book is a steamy Coming of Age/College/Mafia Romance with cocky MMCs and sassy FMCs. It has dark and violent themes, kidnapping, and strong language that may not be suitable for all readers. ~
