The infidel may scorn fully affirm, that these humble, degraded slaves do not possess the immortal soul; that they did not originate from the same an cestors as did the white man, but that they sprang from the Mon key tribe) But to arrive at that preposterous conclusion, the infidel is under the necessity of rejecting the lights of Christian ity, of Science, and of Philosophy.
