La vaccination est l'action de santé la plus efficace pour protéger une population contre les maladies infectieuses, dont la grippe saisonnière. Cependant, la vaccination reste un sujet de controverse, engendrant méfiance et scepticisme auprès de la population, et provoquant une baisse de la couverture vaccinale. Pour faire face à cette problématique, le Ministère chargé de la Santé a entrepris une refonte de la politique vaccinale, en s'appuyant sur les modèles étrangers, et en élargissant les compétences et les possibilités du pharmacien d'officine en matière de vaccination. Une action phare de ce programme est la réalisation de la vaccination contre la grippe saisonnière en officine. C'est dans ce contexte qu'une enquête a été menée au sein d'une pharmacie d'officine des Ardennes pour recueillir l'avis de ses patients et de ses professionnels de santé sur cette mesure. Les résultats de cette enquête tout comme ceux recueillis au sein des régions expérimentatrices ont montré qu'une majorité des patients interrogés était favorable à cette expérimentation. Fort de son succès, toutes les pharmacies de France auront la possibilité de vacciner certains de leurs patients à partir d'octobre 2019. Dans la continuité des entretiens pharmaceutiques et pour faire face à la méfiance des patients et répondre à leurs interrogations, la mise en place d'entretiens de vaccination en officine pourrait également être un levier supplémentaire pour appuyer le rôle du pharmacien d'officine dans l'information du public et le suivi vaccinal.
