Book Description
Excerpt from The Alpha Tau Omega Palm, 1913, Vol. 33 While the palm is the fraternity's only Official journal, it has, in recent years, refrained from publishing in detail the business transactions of the Congress. NO one who was present is likely to forget the great debate upon the adoption of the official badge. The debate was opened by George H. Lamar, of the High Council, whose splendid defense of the action of that body was a brilliant forensic effort. The reply of Worthy Grand Keeper of Exchequer Max S. Erdman, who, as Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means, argued for the rejection of the Old design, and the substitution of the new, was a masterly presentation of the subject from the college boy's.
