La question est donc de savoir ce qui convient à l'homme et c'est en cela qu'elle concerne la philosophie. L'objet de l'éducation est de nous apprendre à vouloir. La valeur d'une connaissance ne se mesure pas à son utilité sociale mais à ce dont elle nous délivre et celle d'une pédagogie à ce qu'elle nous apprend de notre liberté.
