Contexte : la pandémie COVID-19 a brutalement bouleversé l'activité socio-politico-économique de l'ensemble de la planète. Les professionnels de santé de premier recours en ambulatoire ont été en première ligne au cours de l'année 2020. Matériel et méthode : à travers une étude quantitative, observationnelle et descriptive auprès de 138 participants, nous avons évalué comment les médecins généralistes libéraux en région PACA se sont adaptés. Nous nous sommes intéressés à la réorganisation de leurs cabinets, à la mise en place des gestes barrières pour renforcer les règles d'hygiène (individuelles et collectives). Nous avons étudié les prescriptions dans la prise en charge et le suivi des malades. Les objectifs secondaires ont comparé cette adaptation en fonction de l'âge des praticiens et selon leur mode d'activité. Résultats : cette étude révèle une baisse de l'activité de soin sur l'ensemble de l'année 2020 mais surtout lors du 1er confinement. On retrouve une adaptation forte des médecins en termes d'asepsie des locaux et du matériel. Le lavage des mains est devenu plus fréquent désormais. La protection des soignants par les masques s'est révélée très insuffisante en début d'année 2020. La pratique de la téléconsultation a été en plein essor. Les antalgiques de palier I ont été les médicaments les plus utilisés alors que les palier II, anticoagulants, corticoïdes, bêtalactamines ou encore macrolides ont parfois été nécessaires. Les bilans biologiques standards et le scanner thoracique ont été les examens les plus demandés. Conclusion : ce travail a mis en lumière les points clés de l'adaptabilité de la médecine générale en ambulatoire mais aussi ses faiblesses dans le contexte de situations sanitaire exceptionnelle. Cette adaptabilité s'est faite rapidement et la compréhension de ces points clés pourrait permettre de mieux répondre face à une nouvelle crise sanitaire.
