L.a Rua, Saiiioel Patterson and Henry.Michalet bo arid they are hereby constituted a foody-politic and corporate, by the name and style of the President and Directors of the joint, stock wharf company, with free power in their corporate name to sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded, grant, receive and do all other acts as natural persons. Tohavo regular succession, and to continue in office as President and directors aforesaid until the first Monday of August, which will be in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, on which lay ineach and every year, an election shall be held, at such place, by such person land in such manner, as may be appointed by the board of Directors fbr the current year, for the election of five directors, who shall choose their oVn President and Treasurer; Provided, that if said election should not be had in any one year on the said first Monday hi August, it shall not operate to affect said incorporation, but the said election shall be held at such time thereafter as the said President may order and direct.
