É prazeroso ter a oportunidade de prefaciar a primeira edição de um Manual, porque isso significa a oportunidade de despertar o interesse do leitor para o manual, trazendo um ar de curiosidade. A proposta dos autores, que instituíram um Grupo de Trabalho (GT) composto de enfermeiros representantes da Coordenadoria Regional de Saúde Sudeste (CRSS) do município de São Paulo e das Organizações Sociais de Saúde (OSS) parceiras desta Coordenadoria, é, proporcionar aos enfermeiros, que atuam na Atenção Básica, um instrumento que possibilite o acolhimento da demanda espontânea, recebida diariamente nas unidades, de forma qualitativa, sem que para isso o atendimento seja caracterizado como urgência ou emergência. Desta forma foi sintetizada nesta obra, de forma teórica, a vivência pelos autores na construção e implantação de um Manual de Classificação de Risco específica para a Atenção Básica, sempre com o olhar focado na vulnerabilidade. A obra está organizada em doze capítulos. Os primeiros três capítulos apresentam os conceitos de Classificação de Risco na Atenção Básica, Avaliação de Vulnerabilidade e a diferença entre risco e vulnerabilidade. Os capítulos quatro e cinco apresentam os critérios de avaliação geral do adulto e os algoritmos de classificação de risco do adulto. Os capítulos seis e sete apresentam os critérios de avaliação geral da criança e os algoritmos de classificação de risco da criança. O capítulo oito versa sobre o desenvolvimento do manual; o capítulo nove descreve a metodologia de uso do manual; o décimo capítulo apresenta o processo de monitoramento após a implantação do manual. O décimo primeiro capitulo aborda o papel da educação no treinamento dos profissionais e o ultimo capitulo descreve de forma prática através dos estudos de casos a aplicabilidade do manual. Cabe salientar que os autores não tem a pretensão de esgotar nenhuma temática apresentada neste manual. Buscam apenas estimular a reflexão e discussão sobre o assunto para que outras obras possam ser criadas a partir desta. Em contrapartida, também oferecer uma referência para outros profissionais de saúde, considerando que a Atenção Básica é por natureza multidisciplinar e de construção conjunta na busca da qualidade de vida da comunidade na qual atua. Esperamos que este manual possa contribuir na busca da transformação da prática do acolhimento realizado diariamente em suas unidades, tendo como princípio a qualidade da assistência e a segurança do usuário.

This book presents the method developed by Dr. Silvia Helena Koller and her students and collaborators to apply Urie Bronfenbrenner’s Bioecological Theory of Human Development to empirical studies with children and adolescents. This book addresses the lifelong effects of racism, covering its social, psychological, family, community and health impacts. The studies brought together in this contributed volume discuss experiences of discrimination, prejudice and exclusion experienced by children, young people, adults, older adults and their families; the processes of socialization, emotional regulation and construction of ethnic-racial identities; and stress-producing events associated with racism. Radioelectronic combat (REC) embraces the entire range of possibilities for manipulating the electromagnetic spectrum to military advantage. Options include electronic warfare, physical destruction of electronic targets, signals intelligence, and radio-electronic concealment and deception. Developed in the early 1970s by the Soviets, it is still poorly understood in the West. This study analyzes REC as a method of warfare with which Western military thinkers must reckon seriously at all levels of combat planning. It also provides a solid base of information on REC's origins, functional structure, and basic military goals. Equally important, it defines REC's greatest threat as conceptual rather than technological.
