Dann war weder der organische Stoff schon lebend, der nach seiner Bildung längere Zeit im statischen, wenn auch "labilen, relativ gefährdeten Gleichgewicht Bestand hatte, noch derjenige, welcher, wie vielleicht die Cyansäure, ebenso rasch zerfallen konnte, wie er sich gebildet hatte, sondern erst diejenige Stoffmasse, bei der sich Aufbau und Abbau beständig ergänzten wie bei den uns bekannten Lebewesen.
