Book Description
A Commentary on the Book of Revelation - Volume 2 The author presents a detailed study of the Book of Revelation emphasizing prophetic themes from the rest of the Bible which find their fulfillment in Revelation. To understand this controversial book, the author explores the many connections between the visions seen by the Apostle John and previous prophetic revelation given to Old Testament prophets such as Daniel, Ezekiel, and others. It is the author's conviction that an understanding of related passages elsewhere in the Bible is the most important key to unlocking the bewildering variety of interpretations which often accompany the study of the last book of the Bible. The commentary can be used in conjunction with a free companion internet course providing an additional 70 hours of audio instruction linked to almost 1,000 slides.

Book Description
There are those that trust their academic ability, or someone else's mental sharpness and genius that say they have the answer. And their answer is that "God, as the single and only Creator" is not a factor in creation; and in fact God does not exist. But that something just blew up eons ago and formed the universe. The results of this explosion also unleashed life and what we see today evolved over many, many, thousands of years! Now, this definition of creation by its very explanations declares that when one is dead, one is done, forever! There are also those that say God does exist, and he can be anything anyone declares him to be! And one's worship of him is whatever the group guideline specifies. But the Judeo - Christian Bible disagrees with the premise of these previously stated claims, and any other claim that misrepresents the one true God of creation; who is also the God of the Jews. Anyone that is not seeking to honor and worship the one true God of Creation; the Father and God of Jesus Christ is caught up in false god and idol worship"! Every creature is admonished to believe the words and woks of Jesus: That His words and works during His earthly ministry are offered as proof that He is the Son of God; sacrificed His life for forgiveness of sin for the human race; on the third day of His death He (Jesus) was raised from the dead; and now He offers eternal resurrection life to whomsoever will come in faith, believing Him for that eternal life! I only know of one personality in history that has ever said, "I AM born to die for you"; but not just for you alone, but for the whole world? Generally, men just take from each other by bullying, stealing, killing, and destroying! So, when someone appears on the scene and declares, "I AM born to die for you," one would think that such a herald would get everybody's attention, or at least make them curious! Wow! Here is someone, I did not know and had no reason to think they knew me, that says their life's ambition is to die for me! I do not know what anyone else's question(s) would be, but mine is, "What gives; Why do you think I need someone to die for me; and more importantly, Why are you volunteering?" The Apostle Paul answered the question(s) this way: For when we were yet without strength (had no part with, and was an offense to God), in due time Christ (Jesus) died for the ungodly (Rom 3:23 [For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God]; and Rom 5:12 [Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for/ because that all have sinned; and if not redeemed, shall be eternally lost). For scarcely (or unlikely) for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure (or, let us suppose) for a good man some would even dare (or have courage enough) to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet (neither righteous, nor good; but) sinners, Christ (Jesus) died for us. Now, every other so called, "spiritual head/ power/ deity" I have ever heard of in the world demands something of their fellow beings/ followers: and the demand could be anything from some spiritual level you must attain on your part through human effort; the giving of something you possess; to something you must make others do, and/ or "die (give up) for the cause"! In others words all of the effort and risk is on your shoulders, or on your part; and none of the risk is on the "spiritual power." Is not this so? Think of all the religions around the world, through the centuries, and then you decide! Consequently many, many people are eternally destroyed for a lack of knowledge; as they chose wrong commitments parading as God. Romans 5:6 through 5:8 Our book speaks of many of the details, but the Judeo - Christian Bible provides the complete story. And many dedicated believers often refer to this Bible Book as the plan of God to deliver the human race from eternal death and loss! Nothing is too hard for the LORD!

Testimony of Jesus Christ

Testimony of Jesus Christ PDF Author: Walter S. Maybury
Publisher: Fulton Books, Inc.
ISBN: 1637106424
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 280

Book Description
I wrote this book to leave by witness to others that I have grown to know the Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the most honest, kind, loving, and wise person I have ever had the privilege of meeting through correspondence and faith. I have learned that it is smart to listen to His directions as recorded in the scriptures, the King James Version of the Bible as St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke, and St. John. These have given me peace, direction, and happiness while helping me become a better person. This has resulted in good family and friend relationships, more enjoyment in daily work and yielded a more patient, less frustrated person. I feel happier and useful. My heart is more resilient and compassionate. I can see that He is helping me refine myself to be the best person I can be each day. What makes this scripture book different is that each apostle's recollection of our Savior's life is noted together on the same page, chronologically arranged to show events of birth, death, and resurrection--you can get these four witness accounts of each event of the Savior's life at the same time. I have found that reading the recorded story of Jesus Christ in this manner adds context and perspective. There is added emphasis to credibility and understanding. This promotes the reader to listen, ponder, and better decipher meaning while reflecting on personal applicability and faith. Learning what is recorded about Him in this fashion, I have found that my prayers are heard; there is more peace in my heart and desire to be honest. I awake each morning grateful for more time, hoping to discover and accomplish something useful and good while staying in touch with the Master Teacher. I hope that you might read this scripture arrangement and know Him better too. --Walter Maybury

The Testimony of Jesus

The Testimony of Jesus PDF Author: Witness Lee
Publisher: Living Stream Ministry
ISBN: 0736329641
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 144

Book Description
The local church, the church in each locality, is the testimony of Jesus today. The testimony of Jesus is the practical church, not the church ?in the air? or the church to come. A church yet to come cannot show Jesus to people, and a church ?in the heavens? may show Jesus to the angels, but it cannot show Jesus to people on the earth. Therefore, we need to consider whether we truly bear the image of Jesus. If we show someone an unclear picture of a person, it will not be a proper testimony of him with his image and appearance. We may see something in the picture, but it will not be the person we claim to show. The church in our locality must bear the image, expression, appearance, and virtues of Christ.

The Divine Economy

The Divine Economy PDF Author: Witness Lee
Publisher: Living Stream Ministry
ISBN: 0736354875
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 138

Book Description
The Bible reveals that God desires to impart Himself into man for His full expression. This plan, this divine economy, is initially presented in Genesis and is progressively unveiled throughout the Old and New Testaments. Its ultimate consummation is the New Jerusalem at the end of the book of Revelation. From beginning to end, God's desire to be joined to man for His expression fills the pages of the Bible. In The Divine Economy, Witness Lee traces the flow of God's economy, from the creation of man in Genesis to its consummation in Revelation. Like a river that flows without interruption, the divine economy includes not only the creation of man as a vessel to contain God, but also the major steps taken by Christ—incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection--in carrying out the divine economy. Through faith in Christ, redemption is applied to man and the Spirit is supplied in man as rivers of living water. In the divine economy, the rich experience and practical, daily enjoyment of God is the common portion of every believer. The believer's first step into a living enjoyment of God Himself is to see God's eternal plan, as presented in The Divine Economy.

Pages : 262

Book Description
The Times Are Urgent God Is on the Move Now Is the Moment to ... ask God to ignite his fire in your soul! Pastor Jim Cymbala believes that Jesus wants to renew his people-to call us back from spiritual dead ends, apathy, and lukewarm religion. Cymbala knows the difference firsthand. Thirty-five years ago his own church, the Brooklyn Tabernacle, was a struggling congregation of twenty. Then they began to pray ... God began to move ... street-hardened lives by the hundreds were changed by the love of Christ ... and today they are more than ten thousand strong. The story of what happened to this broken-down church in one of America's toughest neighborhoods points the way to new spiritual vitality in the church and in your own life. Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire shows what the Holy Spirit can do when believers get serious about prayer and the gospel. As this compelling book reveals, God moves in life-changing ways when we set aside our own agendas, take him at his word, and listen for his voice.
