These original contributions on the evolution of primates and the techniques for studying the subject cover an enormous range of material and incorporate the work of specialists from many different fields, showing the necessity of a multidisciplinary approach to problems of primate morphology and phylogeny. Collectively, they demonstrate the concerns and methods of leading contemporary workers in this and related fields. Book Description
Incorporating the latest research of leading scholars in the field, this collection of essays offers a comprehensive overview of function and adaptation in the postcranial skeleton of living and fossil nonhuman primates. Following an essay on the biomechanics of primate limbs, seven essays address major aspects of functional morphology and anatomy in primates—covering the shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist, hand, hip, thigh, foot, and vertebral column. The final four essays apply this anatomical knowledge toward interpreting positional and locomotor behavior in extinct primates preserved in the fossil record. Generously illustrated, the volume is intended for students of functional comparative anatomy, morphology, zoology, paleontology, and physical anthropology.

Book Description
Sanātana Gosvāmī wrote Bṛhad-vaiṣṇava-toṣaṇī, an elaborate commentary on the Tenth Canto to explain in detail what Śrīdhara Svāmī covered briefly, and to give devotional meaning where Śrīdhara Svāmī gave brahmanvada explanations. Jīva Gosvāmī wrote Laghu-vaiṣṇava-toṣaṇī as a summary version of Bṛhad-vaiṣṇava-toṣaṇī. The commentaries on first eight chapters of the Tenth Canto are virtually the same but after that point there are increasing differences. Ultimately this commentary is approximately same size as the Bṛhad-vaiṣṇava-toṣaṇī. He completed this work in Śakābda 1504.
