The question always was of general electrification, positive or negative, of breezes, sprays, and sparks. Between 1880 and 1891, Wm. J. Morton, M. Of New York, described both the direct and the indirect Franklinic interrupted currents, and these currents are now generally known as Spark-gap or Morton currents.
