Fuzzy Techniques for Decision Making 2018

Fuzzy Techniques for Decision Making 2018 PDF Author: José Carlos R. Alcantud
Publisher: MDPI
ISBN: 3039364154
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 776

Book Description
Zadeh's fuzzy set theory incorporates the impreciseness of data and evaluations, by imputting the degrees by which each object belongs to a set. Its success fostered theories that codify the subjectivity, uncertainty, imprecision, or roughness of the evaluations. Their rationale is to produce new flexible methodologies in order to model a variety of concrete decision problems more realistically. This Special Issue garners contributions addressing novel tools, techniques and methodologies for decision making (inclusive of both individual and group, single- or multi-criteria decision making) in the context of these theories. It contains 38 research articles that contribute to a variety of setups that combine fuzziness, hesitancy, roughness, covering sets, and linguistic approaches. Their ranges vary from fundamental or technical to applied approaches.

Evaluating Surgical Risk Using FMEA and MULTIMOORA Methods under a Single-Valued Trapezoidal Neutrosophic Environment

Evaluating Surgical Risk Using FMEA and MULTIMOORA Methods under a Single-Valued Trapezoidal Neutrosophic Environment PDF Author: Peng-Fei Cheng
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category : Mathematics
Languages : en
Pages : 17

Book Description
Human errors during operations may seriously threaten patient recovery and safety and affect the doctor–patient relationship. Therefore, risk evaluation of the surgical process is critical. Risk evaluation by failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is a prospective technology that can identify and evaluate potential failure modes in the surgical process to ensure surgical quality and patient safety. In this study, a hybrid surgical risk– evaluation model was proposed using FMEA and multiobjective optimization on the basis of ratio analysis plus full multiplicative form (MULTIMOORA) method under a single-valued trapezoidal neutrosophic environment. This work aimed to determine the most critical risk points during the surgical process and analyze corresponding solutions.

Advances in Best-Worst Method

Advances in Best-Worst Method PDF Author: Jafar Rezaei
Publisher: Springer Nature
ISBN: 3031248163
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 185

Book Description
This book presents recent advances in the theory and application of the Best-Worst Method (BWM). It includes selected papers from the Third International Workshop on Best-Worst Method (BWM2022), held in Delft, the Netherlands, from 9 to 10 June 2022. The book provides valuable insights on why and how to use BWM in a diverse range of applications including health, energy, supply chain management, and engineering. Moreover, it highlights the use of BWM in different settings including individual decision-making vs group decision-making, and with complete information vs incomplete and uncertain information. Academics and practitioners whose work involves multi-criteria decision-making and decision analysis will particularly benefit from the papers gathered here.

Restoration Methods Selection for Wood Components of Chinese Ancient Architectures Based on TODIM with Single-Valued Neutrosophic Sets

Restoration Methods Selection for Wood Components of Chinese Ancient Architectures Based on TODIM with Single-Valued Neutrosophic Sets PDF Author: Xiaolu Long
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category : Mathematics
Languages : en
Pages : 14

Book Description
The selection of restoration methods for ancient architectures is of great significance for the protection of human cultural heritage. This paper proposes a novel restoration methods selection approach for wood components of Chinese ancient architectures, in which a multicriteria group decision-making (MCGDM) method with decision-making information is in the form of singlevalued neutrosophic sets (SNNSs). Firstly, it establishes an index system by comprehensively considering subjective and objective criteria. In addition, the best-worst method (BWM) and the entropy weight method are combined to produce index weights. Furthermore, the TODIM method is utilized by the single-valued neutrosophic sets to prioritize restoration methods. Finally, a specific case of wood component restoration is conducted to demonstrate the practicability of the proposed model. ,e robustness and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by sensitivity analysis and comparison analysis.

A New Decision-Making Model Based on Plithogenic Set for Supplier Selection

A New Decision-Making Model Based on Plithogenic Set for Supplier Selection PDF Author: Mohamed Abdel-Basset
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 19

Book Description
This paper proposes an integrated multi-attribute border approximation area comparison (MABAC) based on the best-worst method (BWM), plithogenic set, and rough numbers. BWM is applied to regulate the weight vector of the measures in group decision-making problems with a high level of consistency. For the treatment of uncertainty, a plithogenic set and rough number (RN) are used to improve the accuracy of results. Plithogenic set operations are used to deal with information in the desired manner that handles uncertainty and vagueness. Then, based on the plithogenic aggregation and the results of BWM evaluation, we use MABAC to find the optimal alternative according to defined criteria. To examine the proposed integrated algorithm, an empirical example is produced to select an optimal supplier within five options in the healthcare industry.
