Book Description
Excerpt from A Literal Translation of the Eight Last Books of the New Testament, on Definite Rules of Translation, and an English Version of the Same I adopt the Greek Text of Griesbach, as I find that some of his corrections are absolutely necessary; what he rejects being without examfle in, sometimes in direct Opposition to, the usage of the Greek Lan guage; which in no one instance have I found to be the case, in relation to any of his corrections. The Figures between the Lines under 490, refer the reader to the Rules. These figures are some times succeeded by a comma, which is followed by other figures, these other figures point out the para graph in the Note to the Rule that is referred to. Book Description
This is the collection of books known as the New Testament from 'The Gospels' up to 'Revelations'. This text is taken from the 'Robert Young's Literal Translation' published in 1862. It aimed to be a literal translation and remove the added poetic license given to the King James edition, this translation was made using the original Hebrew and Greek translations. Young even uses the present tense were most English translations use the past, because this conforms to the original Hebrew text. This version is printed with students of the text in mind, printed in a large A4 format and each verse and chapter is placed at the start of a new line for easy reference
