It is probable that most of the gentlemen, to whom I now address myself, are aware of the reasons which have induced me to enter into an investiga ation of this interesting inquiry; but, as there may be some of you who have not been informed as to the proceedings of my Class, I beg leave to read to you a letter which a committee of that Body has addressed to me.
